Grace Camp 2010

August 27 - 29, 2010 – Victoria, BC

Grace Camp 2010 saw people from several provinces in Canada come together to learn about the grace of God towards mankind. Camp speaker Steve McVey (Grace Walk Ministries) had some incredible insight to share regarding life in Christ. The weekend included rich worship opportunities, great discussions, awesome food, and tons of laughter. The Saturday afternoon panel discussion was a great opportunity for campers to ask questions that they had been dealing with. This year we took a swing at having a camp choir which was fun. Grace communicators from around the world sent greetings to the campers which were read during each of the camp sessions. We also had a grace filled walk set up where campers were encouraged to check out 20 different scripture station set up throughout the grounds. Camp finished with a unique opportunity to have our last session held publicly at Victoria’s ‘Beacon Hill Park.’ A big thanks to all our volunteers who unselfishly served others.

"Meet the Author" - Wm. Paul Young

August 22, 2010 - Sidney, BC

Papa is especially fond of you! That’s the good news message that we heard from author, Wm. Paul Young as we held a ‘Meet the Author’ event at the Mary Winspear Theatre. Musician Mark Hildebrand played a selection of songs on the acoustic guitar as a prelude. After a short introduction, host Art Henkel sang a Bob Dylan song entitled, ‘Make You Feel My Love.’ Then it was time to let Paul loose. For a few hours Paul shared all about the writing of ‘The Shack,’ how it’s been used to impact literally millions of lives, and about his own personal journey. The audience was made up of people from all walks of life. Some were enjoying life in Jesus, while others came from various religious or non religious backgrounds. This allowed for a very rich question and response segment. You couldn’t help but go home knowing God’s (Father, Son, Spirit) desire is to include you in His circle of dance.

Interdenominational Gospel Festival 2010

April 29 - May 1, 2010 - Victoria, BC

At Grace Connection Canada we love connecting people with the truth of God’s amazing grace! That’s why we hosted this three session event. Using music, multi-media, comedy, interviews, and teaching, the difference between living by Law and living under God’s grace was clearly explained. Those who attended discovered the joy of knowing their true identity in Jesus. We were so blessed to have Åge Åleskjær, pastor of Olso Christian Center as our guest speaker. Åge encouraged those attending to enjoy a life of resting in Jesus. At each session, Willard and Betty Thiessen of the TV show ‘It’s a New Day’ greeted those attending. Betty also read from her brand new devotional book and Willard served as moderator for our Saturday morning panel discussion. Great comedy and wonderful worship moments added to each session. The ‘Good News’ message of Jesus was clearly shared. We had a blast!

Grace Camp 2009

August 20 - 23, 2009 - Victoria, BC

Grace Camp 09 was a spectacular weekend that some 200 campers from across Canada experienced together. Campers from BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Newfoundland, and even Scandinavia came together to hear the good news of God’s amazing grace.

It was a weekend of relaxation, rich dialogue, laughter and learning. Whether sitting around outside, at a meal table, or in one of our grace sessions, campers found themselves reflecting on their identity in Christ and the freedom it brings. We celebrated the fact that as Christians we live from a position of “done, done, done,” not “do, do, do.”
