Interpreting The Spirit

Pastor Moses often hears the Spirit speak to him. It’s just unfortunate that he always seems to interpret the words of the Holy Spirit in a way that fits into advancing his personal vision of building a bigger church service.

Serving God

It seems that Eric has been so indocrinated by Pastor Moses, that he truly thinks that loving people is not a legitamate way of serving God. In Eric’s mind, if your not part of an organised, church-program based ministry, well, you’re just a joker.

John believes that Jesus is happy with his service, even if Eric thinks otherwise.

Super Spiritualising Everything

Eric has a habit of finding a ‘spirit‘ of some kind in everything. In John’s case, Eric feels he is the ‘spiritually mature‘ one who has to bring John the bad news: The dreded bogey man of laziness has taken him captive to do his will.

Taking Spiritual Authority

John doesn’t serve in church, and Eric just can’t understand why. To Eric, allowing the Spirit to lead John to serve God outside the 1 hour religious church program on Sunday is just an impossibility.

Eric is convinced that anyone who doesn’t jump into to serving the church must be, to put it plainly, possessed by the bogey man of laziness… Hmmmm
